I woke up today to a notification that Live Blissful (one of my favourite blogs!) had nominated me for a Very Inspiring Blogger Award. I am incredibly grateful for this (thank you!) for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that I truly only started blogging with gusto a month ago… and that was literally a day or so after having 3 hospital appointments in one day (monitoring due to high risk pregnancy) and being given “clearance” to go off bed rest after weeks of virtual isolation! I am rather surprised that, in this short space of time, close to 150 other bloggers have found my blog at all… let alone found it interesting enough to follow ;). Needless to say, I am touched. But moreover, inspired! I am so grateful to have come across the blogs of others; from blogs about women who have faced/overcome great losses and challenges, to those advocating the welfare of animals/children, to those that seem to induce cravings for amazing food at seriously inappropriate times of the night! If we have connected here, then I am glad to have met you! And if I haven’t come across your blog yet, I hope to… thanks for finding me 🙂

7 THINGS ABOUT ME:
There is nothing that I cherish more than the gifts of life and motherhood.
I was born in the Chinese Year of the Dragon, as was my grandmother and my father. My baby is also due in the Dragon’s year!
My husband is the kindest and most patient man I know.
I love to travel and have had many adventures prior to settling into a life of “domestic bliss”… and quite a few since (eg, my husband proposed to me while we were staying in a ger camp with nomads in Mongolia).
I am a big fan of make-up and for a short time in my late teens I went to beauty school, aspiring to be a make-up artist.
I love living in Europe, but I wish the Scandinavian winter only lasted through December… and that we were a little closer to Paris/London/Venice/Amsterdam/Vienna/Berlin… oh, and Australia! Too much to ask? 😉
I respect and admire anyone who wants to make a positive impact on the world and I hope to be one of them in my own small way.
